Voices re-heard

I had the honor of following this up-and-coming minister on one of her house visits one evening. It was a pleasant surprise to be part of her team listening to people voicing out improvement suggestions abt their community. All of which, this minister took it with sincerity, empathy as well as much candidness.
Is Singapore getting [...]

Birthday bash

It has been a busy month in March, thanks to the overwhelming support from everyone so far.
I’ve not forgotten abt this lovely birthday bash, that kickstarted our workflow at the beginning of this month.
Parents sure know how to pamper their offspring these days!
To the cool little smiley dude:
Enjoy such lovely memories of your [...]

No perfect job

Just met a press photographer at a grassroot event last week, and our conversation was interesting.
—————————————–
Mr C: So you left the newsroom to set up on your own? Why? You’ve got a degree, you could have tried other medium.
Me: Ya. I liked my job (and the pay), but its was really tiring, and at this [...]

Our 2009 adopted charity!

I first knew of his presence, when I happened to watch snippets of this travelogue hosted by Belinda Lee one sleepless night like this. Subsequently, a sis-in-Christ pointed me to the Operation Hope Foundation (OHF, for short) and I was like, “hey, how come this man looks so familiar?”
And a simple tea marks the beginning [...]

And off to the theatres last weekend was SLUMDOG [...]

The rebirth of Joabimages

Job 42:12-15:

‘12 The LORD blessed the latter part of Job’s life more than the first. He had fourteen thousand sheep, six thousand camels, a thousand yoke of oxen and a thousand donkeys. 13 And he also had seven sons and three daughters. 14 The first daughter he named Jemimah, the second Keziah and the third Keren-Happuch. 15 Nowhere in all the land were there found women as beautiful as Job’s daughters, and their father granted them an inheritance along with their brothers.’

Do bad news still sell?

I have to say, the local news are being contradicting abt the current global recession.
From Mondays to Fridays, headlines scream across the ST front page and breaking news on www.straitstimes.com:
+ “xx,xxxx to lose jobs in Q1″
+ “x CEOS told to go”
+ “Co. xxxx to axe xxxx jobs”
Fast-forward to Sunday - and the angles are [...]

Beautiful baby photos!

Presenting…. 4-day-old Bianca-Kaixin Noerczwin (when these pix were taken)!

For all little girls…

A girlfriend called up frantically on Wednesday and asked I’m keen to write and do artwork for a Mediacorp-affiliated magazine.
I was like, is it the Wine Club??
I could manage with wine, but not too sure abt ‘winx’ (or wings?).
But business has been slow for the start of Feb. For the sake of paying my bills, [...]
